Together, we raise the prestige of the profession, tolerate the positive experience, inspire young professionals, and move the industry forward by the following actions:
- Increasing the level and quality of welding in the Republic of Bulgaria.
- Protecting the rights and interests of welders and industry professionals in the country and raising the public prestige of the profession.
- Regulating of the Welding activity and related derivative works and helping to bring them up-to-date with international requirements and practices.
- Assisting the process of upgrading the professional level of senior welding staff and the qualification of welders.
- Partnering with universities, research institutes and businesses, encouraging and cooperating for the establishment of welding-related research and technology.
- Maintaining contacts and membership with the International Welding Institute (IIW) and the European Welding Federation (EWF)
- Maintaining the activities of the Bulgarian Center for Welding Qualification (BCWQ) as a nationally authorized unit of the International Authorizing Board (IAB) and the School of International Welding Engineers (International Institute of Welding (IIW) at the Technical University of Sofia.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships and cooperating with Bulgarian and international organizations having similar activity as the Bulgarian Welding Society (BWS).
